Research for Practical Field Work (KKL)

Potential Natural Resources as Supporting Eco-Tourism in The Welo Asri Natural Tourism Forest, Petungkriyono, Pekalongan, Central Java

Fieldwork course is a mandatory activity before biology students at Universitas Nasional conduct research for their final project commonly called a thesis. Different topics from previous field biology study, for my own fieldwork course I chose the topic of ecotourism. This research was carried out on April 22-29 2019. In collecting data I was not alone but with a friend, namely Winda and a lecturer supervisor named Astri Zulfa, S.Si., M.Sc.

The location for the fieldwork course itself is in a forest area in Petungkriyono which has a highland tropical rain forest with fairly high biodiversity, as well as a habitat for several rare animals, and has a river that can be used for eco-adventure tourism. This condition can be used as tourism potential, namely as an ecotourism area. This is also the goal of this research, to find out the potential for the diversity of flora and fauna that make up the Petungkriyono forest ecosystem as an attraction for ecotourism activities based on biodiversity conservation. The results of data collection and data analysis will be seminarized in scientific seminars and examined by biology lecturers at Universitas Nasional.
